In Busan konnte ich es mal wieder nicht sein lassen ein Oceanarium zu besuchen. Die Aufmachung ist ganz gut gelungen, es wird viel auf Nachhaltigkeit und Schulung gesetzt.

Desweiteren werden Tiere die durch Fischer versehentlich gefangen werden (z.B. Schildröten, Delphine, etc.) wieder aufgepäppelt und wieder freigesetzt.

Echte Lebende Korallen habe ich keine gesehen ausser ein paar Anemonen, ansonsten alles aus Plastik...echt enttäuschend.

Gut ist, dass sie hier keine großen Säuger wie Beluga, Seehunde oder Delphine halten. Dafür halten sie Pinguine und Otter.

Der Hauptbecken ist schon beeindruckend, es geht in die breite Fläche, nicht in die Höhe.

In Busan I couldn't resist visiting an oceanarium again. The presentation is quite successful, there is a lot of focus on sustainability and training. Furthermore, animals that are accidentally caught by fishermen (e.g. turtles, dolphins, etc.) are nurtured and released back to the ocean. I didn't see any real live corals except a few anemones, otherwise everything was made of plastic...really disappointing. It's good that they don't keep any large mammals like belugas, seals or dolphins here. That's what they keep penguins and otters for. The main pool is impressive, it is wide, not high.

Seoul bietet 2 grosse Ozeanarium soweit ich das bei Google sehen kann. Ich habe mir das Lotteworld Aquarium vorgenommen.

Auf dem Weg dorthin war ich sehr überrascht, dass das Ozeanarium in einer Einkaufmeile drin ist, und zwar über 2 Etage im Keller untergebracht. Das sind hier ganz andere Dimensionen, echt riesig.

Der Eintritt ist nicht ganz so günstig aber der Besuch lohnt sich. Am Eingang wird über eine Nebelwand ein Unterwasserwelt-Film projiziert, ganz schön cool gemacht. Die Aufbauten der Becken sind in einem sehr guten Zustand, Fische und andere Tiere sehen gesund aus.

Enttäuscht bin ich ein wenig über die Korallenaustellung, es sind wenig SPS zu sehen. Viele Fischbecken sind mit Plastikkorallen dekoriert...

Es wird vieles auch auf englisch erklärt, Schulkinder machen hier Exkursionen und lernen viel über die Unterwasserwelt. Auch eine kleine Nachzuchtstation existiert.

Das Hauptbecken ist riesig und ich hatte nicht das gefühl dass zu viele Tiere im Becken sind.

Leider werden auch hier Säuger gehalten wie Beluga und Seehunde. Das Seehundbecken kann man über eine Rolltreppe hindurchfahren...erlebt man auch nicht jeden Tag...

On the way there I was very surprised to find that the oceanarium is located in a shopping area, on two floors in the basement. These are completely different dimensions here, really huge. The entrance fee is not that cheap but the visit is worth it. At the entrance, an underwater world film is projected over a smoke screen, which is pretty cool. The tank structures are in a very good condition, fish and other animals look healthy. I'm a little disappointed with the coral exhibition, there are few SPS only to see. Many fish tanks are decorated with plastic corals...
A lot of things are explained in English, school children go on excursions here and learn a lot about the underwater world. There is also a small breeding station. The main tank is huge and I didn't have the feeling that there were too many animals in the tank.
Unfortunately, mammals such as belugas and seals are also kept here. You can drive through the seal basin using an escalator...it's not something you experience every day...
